Holsteiner Verband goes shopping at Haras de la Vie in Belgium

Pressrelease:

The stallion approval in Holstein has only just passed and the Holsteiner Verband already seized its opportunity. They brought the outstandingly bred stallion Corfu de la Vie (breeder Haras de la Vie) from Belgium to Germany.

“I always wanted to present a stallion at Holstein and now it is finally happening,” says Eric Goossens, the man behind Haras de la Vie. “This was possible thanks to the cooperation of F. Gevers, for which I am really grateful. He spoke about and older mare, a daughter of the legendary stallion Lord (Ladykiller XX). A really interesting blood line. Fourteen days later she arrived at our farm. We were able to make the combination with Cumano by means of ICSI. Initially we wanted to keep Corfu de la Vie ourselves. But from the very start a lot of parties were interested in this son of Cumano. Finally we decided to go ahead with the Holsteiner Verband. I believe there is no better place for Corfu. Now we only have to think of the future of his half-brother Baltic de la Vie (Baloubet du Rouet).”

“For some time now, we are looking for something extraordinary,” according to Mr. Boley of the Holsteiner Verband. “This stallion has everything we need, a lot of blood without losing power. Descending from a strong dam line. During his sports career, Cumano was only limited available and we see now that his offspring is doing extremely well. We think that Corfu de la Vie will be used by a lot of breeders, and not only in Holstein. The influence of Lord makes him really interesting.”

Info:

A mare that would suit modern breeding. She is the mother of COLORE (1.60m, Hans-Dieter Dreher) and COLORA (1.50m, Theo Genn). But there are a whole lot more jumping horses in this family: CASINO (1.60m, Marcin Betkowski),  CARLAND (1.60m, Eduardo Antonio Castillo Tejada), CARSTEN (1.60m, Jamie Gornall),  CARDENO (1.50m, Christophe Meirsschaert), LUPUS 104 (1.60m, Andreas Theurer), CHICO VON KIELSLUCK  (1.60m, Rüdiger Renner), …
